Ben Lomond

Today's trip went well and everybody seemed to enjoy it, we made it up Ben Lomond and down via Ptarmigan ridge and we were rewarded with spectacular views over the Loch. It was windy and there was significant wind chill on and near the summit before the clouds parted and the wind dropped.

Weekend Update

We are all looking forwards to the first mountaineering trip of the year, it should be enjoyable.
Bad news on the weather front though, 40 mph with gusts of 60 mph. It wont be a walk in the park at all but this is Scotland after all and to look on the bright side the weather usually changes very quickly. As we are going to Ben Lomond we are to the West of this forecast area, therefore we have a 60% chance of a cloud free Munro.

Recap

Now a bit closer to now, we have been to the gcc to give an intro to climbing on Wednesday, we will be heading off again next week.
This week's went well we had one pass their induction right off and two learning the ropes as it were

This weekend trip

This weekend we will be off to Loch lomond with the new starters. The weather doesn't look the best but we will go prepared for the worst as per usual :-)
